STAINLESS STEEL
These pictures are of a commercial clothes dryer at a hosptial, we were blasting the inside of the dryers to remove melted medical plastics that made it throught the wash and melted to the inside of the dryer. These dryers had not been cleaned for two years. They told me the brown staining was from heat and moisture that built up over time. Dry ice blasting stainless steel is fast, safe, non-abrasive. you can remove years worth of grease, carbon built up and exhast staining without causing any scratches, swirls or heat marks. Dry ice blasting stainless steel is very effective because of the difference in density between the contaminate and the steel. The dry ice freezes the contanimates causing them to shrink and crack and upon impact the dry ice sublimates back to a gas, expanding 800x the size of the pellet, pushing the contaminats off from the back side. In the lower two pictures we dry ice blasted the windows on the commercial dryers, this left the windows clean with no scratches, like they had been cleaned with window cleaner.
